It is Asia’s foremost CONFERENCE and EXPO on how to make CSR work for business. It’s the 9th annual Asian Forum on Corporate Social Responsibility in Beijing on October 21 and 22, 2010.
The principal host of AFCSR 2010 is the Asian Institute of Management’s Ramon V. del Rosario, Sr. Center for Corporate Social Responsibility (AIM-RVR Center) and co-presented by German Technical Cooperation (GTZ) and Intel as Strategic Partners. The organizing committee is composed of representatives of partner organizations from all over Asia and is co-chaired by Ramon R. del Rosario, Jr. Chairman of the Board of Advisors, AIM-RVR Center for Corporate Social Responsibility.
The AFCSR has the following primary purposes:
•To highlight innovative programs and best practices in CSR by corporations in Asia and to promote CSR as a key strategy in addressing public needs and problems
•To showcase corporate innovation in CSR in Asia and among Asian firms
•To promote new thinking and standards on CSR as strategy
•To build a network of CSR practitioners across Asia
The primary target market of AFCSR are CEOs and the senior corporate executive in charge of corporate imaging, heads and managers of NGOs and government agencies related to CSR as well as senior executives from International Organizations. About 500-600 delegates are expected to attend AFCSR 2010 in Beijing
The AFCSR program includes a combination of plenary and concurrent Special Interest Sessions (SIS) featuring business and political leaders, as well as high-ranking executives from international organizations and non-government organizations from all over the world. 60 to 80 CEOs and senior management from the region will be SIS speakers at the event.
